Demisch Danant also has several key examples of Paulin’s designs for Artifort including the 1965 Spider Chair made with white lacquer wood and nylon rope, and the 1959 F050 Artifort Chair made with molded wood, latex foam fabric and black painted tubular metal.

“Pierre Paulin is one of the most important designers of the 20th century; he was not only a pioneer in the curvaceous and soft designs which became emblematic of the 1960s but his work continues to influence design today,”
