Swing by Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s booth to see the latest chandelier in Frederik Molenschot’s CityLight series. Molenschot was inspired by the buzzing city of Shanghai where he lived in 2003. With the chandelier, Molenschot recreates the feeling of wandering the streets or driving along a city highway at night. The piece captures the hallucinogenic feeling of being on the road and seeing all the city lights pop up, come closer and then disappear. The bronze chandeliers were created with a lost wax casting technique.
