THE GLOBAL FORUM FOR DESIGN/
This is the third time that Seomi Gallery from Korea is taking part in a Design Miami/ fair.
“It’s great. We’ve been very fortunate with this fair – in both Basel and Miami,” says Gallery Director PJ Park. “Last year’s Basel show was the first time Design Miami/ showcased Korean design and it was very successful.”
Their success continues. Seomi has already sold half of the work they brought to the fair and has booked several commissions. One of the works sold (and also commissioned with customizations for the client) is a fabulously simple, but brilliantly designed wood desk by Jong Sun Bahk. I want one for my house.
Outdoor ceramic pieces – stools and objects – by Hung Chung Lee have also sold well. “Our gallery brings traditional Korean aesthetics and fundamentals in the language of contemporary work to the fair,” explains PJ.
